Volunteer Opportunities

Below is a list of current volunteer opportunities.  

NAAA

Advisory Board – Meets once a month via ZOOM.  Members of this Board have full voting privileges and adhere to the same rules and guidelines of the Association.

Bookkeeper – S/He shall keep a balanced account of all receipts and expenditures and shall present a written monthly financial statement to the Executive Board

Demo Coordinator – Sets up monthly demos/programs for meetings.

EAST (Emerging Art Student Talent) Shows – There are two shows a year for children between the ages of 6 to 18.  The position would involve judging or finding judges and sending out notices to local schools of upcoming shows.  We are presently doing the shows virtually.  There is usually a Spring show and one at the Greeley Park Art Show.

Artist Development Program – This program involves our Scholarship program and the Emerging Artist Student Talent (EAST) Show.

ArtHub

Gallery photographer – Takes photographs of artwork and fine craft items for the NAAA online store.  Approximately 3 hours per rotation (every two months).

Gallery Sitters – Displaying artists are required to gallery sit, however, there are circumstances where a displaying artist cannot sit. We are looking for a volunteer to fill in those empty spots.  If interested in helping out, surrounded by beautiful art or would like further information, please email Suzanne Blanchard at:  wildflowerzsue@gmail.com.

Greeley Park Art Show

The NAAA will be hosting the 68th Greeley Park Art Show this year.  Many of the volunteer opportunities  are during the three days of the show except the Fundraising assistance.

Fundraising – Help getting donations and picking up donations in the local area.

Set-up and Break-down – Set-up on Friday, August 20th after 5:00 p..m. help with set-up of raffle tents, show tens (if COVID feasible), info tent and help artists in need of assistance.  Break-down of the above is Sunday, August 22th after 4:00 p.m.

Info Desk – Saturday, August 21st and Sunday, August 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  This is an open spot for several people to break down time slot so no one person is there for the entire day without a break.

Two (2) Judges for EAST Show – Sunday, August 22nd – morning.

Adult Art Competition Coordinators – Three (3) people needed August 21st – morning.  Collect art, hang art, collect paperwork, meet judges, total judging sheet results and place ribbons.

Photographer – Take pictures of the winning artwork – early afternoon – both days.  Adult Art Competition (Saturday, August 21st) and EAST Show (Sunday, August 22nd).
