I became interested in creating art in high school when I enrolled in an art major course in my senior year. I dabbled with several mediums but settled on photography for many years after high school. I started watercolor painting in 1988 and have studied under several local Westford artists–Nancy Russo, Kathy Dunn, Cynthia Van Horne Ehrlich and Kathy Cooper. Most recently I took a workshop with Robert O’Brien and another workshop with Laurie Goldstein-Warren. I paint watercolors in a realistic style but also create some paintings by pouring watercolors. I am a Signature member of the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, an elected member of the Academic Artists Association, an Associate member of the American Watercolor Society, an Associate member in the New England Watercolor Society and a member of the Chelmsford Art Society.

I have been juried into several national level competitions. I am currently in the American Watercolor Association 2022 Associate Member’s show and the RIWS 2022 National Exhibit.  My work can be seen at: artbyesther.blogspot.com
