Lisa A. Ciaccia enjoys peaceful early mornings painting in her private studio. A self-taught artist, Lisa merely states; “A brush and paints mixed into a passion for life, and dabbed onto canvas has been my education; nature has been my teacher. If you silently
observe it, nature will give you it’s secrets; you eventually figure out how to interpret
them with a paintbrush.” The second eldest of 4 siblings, Lisa was born in Providence, Rhode Island. Her first love for art was drawing cartoons at the age of 8, and while only dabbling in her creativity occasionally for many years she finally picked up her brushes again in 2014 and hasn’t put them away since.
Lisa is holds dual Artist memberships with the Whistler House Museum of Art in Lowell, Massachusetts and Lowell Art Association and has exhibited work through WHMA for their Member Juried Exhibitions since 2015; as well as the Brush Art Gallery, and A.L.L. Gallery, all located in Historic Lowell, Massachusetts. Lisa is also a member of the Nashua Area Art Association as well as Media Partner with Fashion Luxury Info Art in Rome, Italy since 2019.
On September 15th 2021, Lisa was both honored and humbled to have one of her 4”x 6” watercolor paintings go to space aboard the SpaceX Inspiration4 all civilian crew mission; brought aboard with Dr. Sian Proctor, pilot of the Dragon space craft that spent 3 days above the International Space Station and the Hubble Telescope while orbiting earth and conducting research. Lisa’s passion for undersea life are subjects of her earlier paintings, she has since added Architectural Illustrations, seascapes, landscapes and classic cars and Pyrography on decorative gourds, to her resume. Lisa’s mediums of choice are acrylics, watercolors and painting using instant coffee.
