Art-Full “Art Appreciation”

“Art Appreciation” is for adults 18 years and older.  This class is for anyone seeking to expand their knowledge of art and the artistic process. This series will be held from 6 – 7:30 PM on Tuesdays from July 18 – August 1, 2023. Cost is $60 for the entire session or $20 per class if unable to attend all three classes. 

Class 1 will cover at a brief quick pace the definitions of certain genres and the historical period of each genre in art with an example shown from each and a list of the more famous artists of that period. 
Class 2 will cover the development of the human form through history as it applies to art. Examples will be shown that may not be appropriate for younger participants. 
Class 3 will be an open frank discussion on what is deemed art versus what isn’t and what is deemed good art versus bad art.
A notebook and writing utensil are recommended for all three classes but not necessary.
