Volunteer Opportunities

Below is a list of current volunteer opportunities.  

NAAA

Bookkeeper – S/He would update accounts payable and receivable once a month.  The estimated time involved would be approximately 2 – 3 hours per month..  All accounting is done via Quickbooks.

Demo Coordinator Sets up monthly demos/programs for meetings.

Pheasant Lane Mall Exhibit Chair – S/He would notify the membership through our newsletter of upcoming exhibit changeouts – every three (3) months and coordinate the artists the day of the change out.  For more information on the exhibit space, go to the Exhibit Info tab on the website.

EAST (Emerging Art Student Talent) Shows – Greeley Park EAST Show – There are two shows a year for children between the ages of 6 to 18.  This position would be to assist our EAST Show Chair at our annual Greeley Park Art Show.  It would involve checking in artwork and helping to hang and label the artwork.  Involvement would be 2-3 hours Sunday morning of the Greeley Park Art Show.

Artist Development Program – This program involves our Scholarship program and the Emerging Artist Student Talent (EAST) Show.  We are presently looking for someone to assist the Chairs of the above-mentioned prograns.

Greeley Park Art Show

The NAAA will be hosting the 70th Greeley Park Art Show this year.  Many of the volunteer opportunities  are during the three days of the show except the Fundraising assistance which is done prior to the show.

Fundraising – Help getting donations and picking up donations in the local area (restaurants, local businesses, etc).

Set-up and Break-down – Set-up on Friday, August 18th after 5:00 p..m. help with set-up of raffle tents, show tents, info tent and scholarship recipients tent and help artists in need of assistance OR assist in the break-down of the above is Sunday, August 20th after 4:00 p.m.

Info Desk – Saturday, August 19th and Sunday, August 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  This is an open spot for several people to break down time slot so no one person is there for the entire day without a break.

Two (2) Judges for EAST Show – Sunday, August 20th – morning.

Adult Art Competition Coordinators – Three (3) people needed August 19th – morning.  Collect art, hang art, collect paperwork, meet judges, total judging sheet results and place ribbons.

Photographer – Take pictures of the winning artwork – early afternoon – both days.  Adult Art Competition (Saturday, August 19th) and EAST Show (Sunday, August 20th).
