Steven A. White is a NH native, born and raised in Merrimack

First introduced to photography by his father as a child, he developed the interest of capturing what he sees with a Polaroid instant camera in the late 1970’s.

The sense of “instant gratification” and control was born. He shoots everything from childhood friends playing in the snow, to pictures of warmth when he held his daughter at birth, to capturing the sky during sunset reflecting on a body of water, or a broken toy discarded and frozen in a pond.

His photography is an amalgam of his “obsessive” personality; and, as a result of his obsessiveness, he brings light from darkness and beauty from the discarded. With no formal schooling in photography, Steven’s style of “Street Photography” allows him the ability to create from a point of view, which temporarily allows freedom from the obsessive mind and thoughts that dance in his head.

Being a survivor of childhood trauma and having recovered from the obsession of substance abuse to cope, Steven works in recovery every day today. God willing, through his photography and ability to speak openly about his personal life experiences, he hopes to open doors and leave a lasting impact on his fellow man with the many gifts of which he has been blessed.

So, please take the journey into your own heart, mind, body and soul. Allow yourself to feel deeply inside of your being and manifest it into your own destiny through the creative mind that lies within
