Class Description
In this class I will give you a short tutorial on the art of glass fusing, and introduction of the types of glass and particularly the firing process. I will then give you a piece of clear glass and various types of decorative glass to create your own special piece. The options are many – the design is yours to create. After class I will take the pieces home to fuse and attach to the chosen base (night light or tea light candle). Finished pieces will be delivered to the Art Hub within 2 weeks.
A Little Info on our artist
Working with glass is a satisfying yet often frustrating medium. When I look at a sheet of blank glass it is like a painter looking at ta blank canvas. I try to imagine colors, shapes and designs to enhance the work. Each piece I create is truly a one-of-a-kind work! I want to create pieces that speak to me and hopefully will speak to the customer. Most pieces have a story as to how I got the finished work, sometimes after many trials and errors! Learning about the specific of each type and color of glass and how they may react to each other is a learning process, often with unexpected yet pleasant results. It is my hope that each piece that finds a new home and becomes a useable and treasured piece of art glass.
