As a young child I was always creating. When we had art once a week in elementary school it was my absolute joy and one of my paintings was selected for a display at the Currier art museum . This laid the foundation for my teaching career of 13 years in preschool and kindergarten when my children were very young. The next twenty-one years were devoted to teaching elementary and middle school art. Part of my philosophy was sharing my enthusiasm and passion for all types of art. The adventures continue as I am now retired from teaching but enjoy sharing my love of art with my six grandchildren.
My art was often described as having draftsmanship quality with emphasis on shading and realism. Now my art has a whimsical young feeling. I love to focus on what inspires me at the moment. Often it is drawing and watercoloring all animals and especially cats. I enjoy the beauty of nature and the arrangement of objects. My house is filled with art and now it is time to share. Watercolor, acrylic and colored pencil are my mediums.
